President Muhammadu Buhari’s children Zahra, her brother Yusuf and sister Amina, have attended the public presentation of selected speeches of their mother, Aisha Buhari in Abuja recently.
The event, titled “Matching Words with Action”, is a review of the journey of Future Assured, Mrs Buhari’s programmed aimed to improve the lives of women and children. It was held at the State House Conference Center, Abuja recently.
Mrs. Buhari, who is 45, doesn’t use the title ‘First Lady’ favoured by the wives of the previous presidents and heads of state. Aisha prefers to be called ‘Wife of the President.’ Meanwhile, Mrs Buhari is as powerful as her predecessors.
Like previous first ladies, Mrs. Buhari floated a pet project, Future Assured, with the purpose of empowering women and children. Within one year in power, Buhari’s wife has published two books. During the two book presentations, very powerful Nigerians who attended jostled to be in Mrs Buhari’s good books.
